JPA Tachet

Students at JPA our campus is set in five hectares of beautiful gardens with two large ponds surrounded by serene rice paddy and sugar palms near tachet village, siem reap province

We have twelve classrooms located in two areas; one area for lower elementary school surrounding a verdant lawn complete with playground equipment and another area for upper elementary and middle school. All classrooms are detached, spacious, airy rooms each with their own lawns, verandas and tranquil views across our ponds and gardens. Central to our campus is the sense of community which is enhanced by our corridors lined with displays of students’ work linking the buildings to communal areas such as our canteen, library and gardens.

Students arrive at the campus by bus, bicycle or on foot. Vehicle access is kept separate from foot traffic to ensure our students are as safe as possible. Our students usually begin their day in the library which is centrally located next to our large canteen where students are served three nutritious meals per day from our well equipped, modern kitchen.

In addition to our classrooms, canteen and library, we have a school clinic and a well stocked storeroom. Our teachers’ room is equipped with all that teachers need to prepare for lessons as well as a never ending flow of coffee and tea.

At JPA we recycle as much as possible. Food waste is taken by a local family and used to raise pigs. Paper, cans, and bottles are all recycled. We use pond water to irrigate our gardens. Our open classrooms are cooled by natural ventilation.
